Baltimore Technologies has won a contract to redevelop the Australian Defence Force’s communications systems.
Once the new communications system was in place, every defence force member would be issued with a digital certificate. This would be used to encrypt electronic correspondence.Mr Palfreyman said a variety of systems, including smart cards, would be trialled for distributing and storing the certificates.
